2007 Webster Seaway Classic

This was the coming out tournament for the Blue Reign. What began as a vision in the Summer of 2007 would finally be reality at The Webster Seaway Classic. Mr. HarrisCoaches Chamberlain and Denk, and these amazing kids started with only faith on Pinnacle Lutheran's reclaimed hog pen. And, that faith would finally be brought together and tested in 14580.
The morning was chilled overcast as is usually the case in these parts. As the Relentless Hustle families unpacked in the parking lot a rumble was heard asking "Who are these kids". Camp was established and the Blue Rain began warming up, fully aware of the attention that their freshness and smart attire were garnishing. They were mature beyond their years in their self discipline and reaction. Before the first draw, everyone at the tournament sensed what everyone in the Relentless Hustle family already knew, these are extraordinary kids and something really special had started in local girl's lacrosse.
The tournament opened with round two vs. Brighton. As an extension of the previous week's match, the kids in Columbia Blue continued their dominance of the Little Lady Barons. Soon, the buzz was going around all the fields of this new amazing group of kids.
The skies cleared in time for Relentless Hustle's match against Irondequoit at center stage. This game, against one of the oldest and most respected programs in the area, was played in a vantage point where nearly every person at Webster Schroeder that day could watch. And it became a defining point for Relentless Hustle and the stuff of legend. #30 The Hammer Harris started things off by eliminating not one, but two goalies with thunderous cannon shots. Then, she scored on a flawless behind the back shot which brought everyone to their feet with cheers and gasps of amazement. Spectators and players from other fields began watching as the roars became louder. Reputations and nicknames were earned on every play, every ground ball, and every pass. Reckless Abandon, The Hammer, Likwid, The Hurricane, and The Shadow, to mention only a few, became immortalized to anyone present and showed our own Genesee Valley the future of girl's lacrosse. Irondequoit is a powerful program, full of talent and pride that does not go quietly down in defeat. They counter attacked with ferocity, only to be fought for every inch of field by a warrior in Relentless Hustle BlueRelentless Hustle leadership was defined by a dynamic duo at midfield who were heroes together from previous championships #22 Emily Livecchi and #9 Kristina Glitch. When the game ended, time seemed to stop as the crowds that had gathered realized something special and historical had occurred.
The Blue Rain finished their day with a convincing win over Canandaigua. A deep sense of satisfaction and pride showed on the children faces as everyone packed up their gear. Other families and their kids walked by with waves of hello and respect. Relentless Hustle and the face of girls lacrosse was here.
